Dr. Andrea Eberle Keene Dr. Andrea Eberle Keene is pleased to join Dr. Victoria Blower at Accurate Vision Clinic, and we are happy that she is here! Dr. Eberle Keene was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and graduated from Robert Service High School in 1998. She then moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend college at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
Volunteering at an optometric office during summers at home in Anchorage confirmed Dr. Eberle Keene’s love of working with people and making a difference in their lives. During her time at Gonzaga, she was a coxswain on the women’s and men’s varsity rowing teams and enjoyed a year abroad in Florence, Italy. She graduated from Gonzaga University in 2002 and moved down the road to attend optometry school at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.
During her time in school, Dr. Eberle Keene became very involved in Amigos, Pacific University Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, in which she was vice president and president. She volunteered at Oregon and Washington’s Special Olympics and traveled to Guatemala in 2003 and 2006, providing eye care to those in need. She graduated with honors as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa and received the Pacific University Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate Award. All schooling aside, Dr. Eberle Keene loves optometry and the opportunity to participate in life-changing experiences. Following her graduation in May, she moved back home to Anchorage and got married to her husband, Tyler Keene, in July.
Dr. Eberle Keene is currently a member of the Alaska Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. While not in the office, she might be found traveling the world, fishing for halibut and salmon in Kodiak, spending time with her husband, or cooking big meals for family and friends.
