With each new Spring comes change…
Dear Patients,
It is with a bittersweet heart that I share with you the news that after 29 years I have decided to retire from the full-time practice of optometry and have sold Accurate Vision Clinic to Dr. Benjamin Crawford.
After opening Accurate Vision Clinic in 1990 and watching it grow over the years this was not an easy choice to make. I value and have enjoyed the bonds that I have developed with all of my patients.
However, all good things must come to pass, and the time is right for my husband and I to move on to the next adventures in our lives.
An important requirement in deciding to move on in life was leaving Accurate Vision Clinic in the hands of a practitioner in whom I have ultimate respect and faith. It was only after careful deliberation and thoughtful consideration that I chose Dr. Crawford.
As many of you know, Dr. Crawford has been associated with the office for the past three years. During that time I have had ample opportunity to witness his compassion, technical, medical and inter-personal skills. I hold him in the highest regard on all fronts.
Dr. Crawford is a “local boy”, born and raised in Anchorage and after receiving his education he is returning to his roots. He is highly trained and will be an asset to our community.
In the past three years it is likely that Dr. Crawford has assisted you with your eye care needs. If so, you already know he is kind, caring and thorough. For those of you who have not had that experience yet, my hope is that you will give him an opportunity to earn your trust.
For some time, I will continue to provide patient care and assist Dr. Crawford in seamlessly transitioning ownership of Accurate Vision Clinic.
I am grateful for the professional opportunities that have been bestowed upon me as your healthcare provider, and consider it a privilege to have served each of you in that capacity. I thank for your past patronage and the trust that you granted me and the Accurate Vision Clinic in caring for the special gift we are given in sight.
Sincerely,
Victoria Blower, O.D.

Hello Friends and Family of Accurate Vision Clinic,
I have already had the pleasure of meeting many of you in the three years I have been working with Dr. Blower at Accurate Vision Clinic, but I’d like to take this opportunity to reintroduce myself.
I am a life long Alaskan, born and raised in Anchorage. After high school I attended the University of Nevada, earning my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. I then went on to Graduate school at the Illinois College of Optometry where I received my Doctorate of Optometry. In the spring of 2011, I returned home to Alaska and began practicing at Accurate Vision Clinic. I really enjoyed working with the staff and patients, and quickly realized there was something very special about this practice.
Dr Blower has held her level of eye care to a higher standard, which is evident in the loyalty of our patients. I am thrilled to be continuing that excellence and desire to further build upon that standard as I serve the Accurate Vision Clinic community.
In the upcoming months I hope to get the chance to know you and your family personally, and learn how I can best meet all your eye care needs.
Best,
